About

For many years, in my first career, I was a dental hygienist. What I loved most about my job was that I got to interact, one on one, with people from a vast array of backgrounds. I loved to hear their stories about their families and life in general. I learned from them that we all want the same basic things in life. We want to be appreciated, respected, loved and remembered. We enjoy laughter, feeling connected, being productive, learning, and expanding our horizons. What pleased me most were the stories of accomplishment, when one shared an experience that resulted in that person extending him or herself beyond what they viewed as their limits. Those were defining moments for them and for me.

From there, I returned to school and received a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University. I learned the skills that are effective in helping people cope, change, and transform. I am honored and humbled to be sharing the lives of those who seek my help. I greatly look forward to meeting you, sitting with you, hearing your story and finding ways for you to reach your “aha” moments of great accomplishments.
